Day 32 - Rochester, MN to La Crosse, WI (91 miles)

Start of the day pic wasn't nearly as nice as some of the ones we've seen recently, as it was raining cats and dogs in Rochester when we woke up. Luckily it let up just long enough to convince us that it might not be so bad, and we could go ahead and head out.
After about 50 miles (the first 25 of those in driving rain and headwinds) it was finally dry enough to take out the camera, and we made it to a really nice bike path that took us from the town of Rushford to Houston. Here I am riding the wrong way on the path (for the picture).

It was really cool the way the path kept going through all the cornfields, back into the woods, and along the river.

Check out the paint job on this mobile home next to the dairy....

The shot of the elk would've been a lot cooler if they hadn't been penned in, but these guys were huge.

....and we enter yet another state. Goodbye Minnesota.

....and crossed to the east....

That's about it from here. Good luck to all my RAGBRAI friends. They're headed to Iowa tomorrow evening for the start their ride. Wish I could do that ride and this one as well.
Make sure to send me some pics guys.

Tomorrow looks to be another 90 mile day, even though we were all expecting a shorter ride (75 miles) We'll be on one of the "Rails to Trails" paths called the Sparta Trail. I think we cleaned out the inventory of $1 flashlights in a couple of Wal-Mart stores the last few days getting ready for the 3 long tunnels we have to go through.

Thanks again for reading everyone.
